To be honest my time in my studio is one of my favourite things and where the pieces go sort of turns into a bit of a blur.
It must be what Keith Richards felt like writing his autobiography!
Well, not really, I couldn’t compare myself to the great human riff as in the words of Wayne's World to Alice Cooper “we are not worthy"
But I’ve got to mention Keith Richards in my bio!
So in no particular words or order:

VERY CURRENT
I have just formed a wonderfully exciting collaboration with Sesame Street, working in a very diverse amount of projects worldwide under the guise of Sesame Street X Bromley with the first exhibition in November in Melbourne to mark Sesame Street's 55th year.
And last, but not least, a 13 book publishing deal with Larrikin House including 10 children's books, a biography, a life's memories picture book and a wild story of youth documenting my adolescence and early adulthood with three mates/friends of 50 years.
I am sure I’ve missed out a lot, but that’ll do.

BORN 1960 Sheffield, England
STUDIES
Self-taught
David Bromley immigrated to Australia with his family in 1964.
Bromley emerged as a painter in the mid-1980s. In the early stages of his career, he held solo exhibitions in Sydney and Adelaide and represented works in state and regional galleries, including finalist in the Archibald Prize, AGNSW, in 1999, 2001, 2004 and 2008.
He has emerged as one of the most recognisable and innovative artists in Australia.
In his practice, David Bromley has developed themes for distinct and unique styles of painting; the female portrait, the children's series and the butterflies and birds series.
In the works based on children, impressions of the joy and innocence of childhood are ever-present. The compositions are reminiscent of bygone days and loaded with toys, pets and adventure. As seen in recent paintings of summers by the sea, the artist reveals a playful inquisitiveness that provokes fond memories of youth.
In the portrait series, Bromley explores the female form.
Commonly, the paintings are life size poses, whether provocative or demure, of models from fashion and film. The portraits are commanding and seductive, the females attractive and bare breasted.
However diverse in his subject matter, Bromley's work is enduringly figurative, daringly coloured and executed with a graphic intention reminiscent of Warhol's Pop Art from the 1960s. He credits Warhol as an early influence demonstrated in his reductive colours, graphic style and the simplified forms of his nudes.
Over the past 20 years Bromley’s work has fostered widespread acclaim and notoriety in Australia and internationally. He has exhibited on nearly every continent including Asia, Europe, Africa and America.
Bromley’s design eye and ability to create mesmerising environments has seen him engaged to design and decorate major spaces throughout Australia and abroad, from residential skyscrapers to iconic food and beverage venues.
